El Ministerio de Energ a, Turismo y Agenda Digital, a trav s del Observatorio Nacional de las Telecomunicaciones y de la Sociedad de la Informaci n (ONTSI), ha publicado la nueva edici n del Annual report of the Digital Content sector in Spain. Seg n dicho informe, la facturaci n del sector alcanz en 2015 los 8.940 millones de euros, lo que supone un incremento del 16,9% respecto al a o anterior.
En cuanto al n mero de empresas del sector de contenidos, el estudio recoge que en 2015 se alcanz la cifra de 9.579. Estas empresas dieron empleo a 46.345 personas, lo que supone un incremento del 7,1% respecto al a o anterior (43.255 profesionales).
Por otra parte, la inversi n realizada en el sector de los contenidos digitales se increment un 1,5% y fue de 790 millones de euros.
El informe tambi n subraya la importancia de Internet para la econom a espa ola, que se traduce en 50.602 millones de euros, que representan el 5,2% del Producto Interior Bruto.
Atendiendo a los datos desglosados, los sectores que m s han contribuido al crecimiento del sector de los contenidos digitales el a o pasado son los de actividades audiovisuales, cine y v deo, y publicidad online que, en conjunto, aglutinaron el 83,6% de la facturaci n.
El informe tambi n recoge las principales tendencias del sector de los contenidos digitales. En este sentido, hay que destacar que el desarrollo de las redes de alta velocidad est favoreciendo la distribuci n de contenidos digitales. El v deo es el contenido digital que m s tr fico genera.
En cuanto a los videojuegos, los modelos de negocio basados en las videoconsolas y el PC muestran signos de estancamiento. Su representatividad en los ingresos del sector en los pr ximos a os tender a disminuir en favor de los juegos para dispositivos m viles y de realidad virtual.
En el sector de las publicaciones los libros en formato electr nico representan cerca del 22% del total de libros vendidos en el mundo.
