LANG joins more than 100 organizations as part of the SRT Alliance, the fastest growing video streaming movement in the open source communityGERMANY May 22, 2018 LANG, one of Europe's leading wholesalers of visual presentation technologies, today announced its partnership with Haivision, a market leader in enterprise video and streaming solutions. LANG AG has also joined the SRT Alliance, an organization co-founded by Haivision, dedicated to the SRT Open Source Project, whose mission is to support a freely available open-source video transport protocol and technology stack called SRT (Secure Reliable Transport) that will accelerate innovation through collaborative development enabling the delivery of high quality and secure, low-latency video across the public internet.
Through continuous research and development, LANG always offers the latest technology and highest performance based on its own elevated quality standards. In addition to offering products and solutions to the PRO AV Market, the German company also offers the most comprehensive and competent consulting and customer support services. LANG partners with Haivision to support the streaming industry in Germany by offering Haivision's high performance, low latency video streaming solutions as part of their offering.
Broadcasters and media companies turn to Haivision for the highest quality and lowest latency video backhaul, distribution and online streaming, said Sylvio Jelovcich, vice president of global alliances, Haivision. Our partnership with LANG is extending to meet the demands of both broadcasters and businesses throughout Europe that need secure video streaming and media management solutions.
Haivision offers the best-of-breed in video streaming and media management hardware and software. We are confident that the reliability of their products and the responsiveness of their teams will allow us to offer the highest quality video solutions and services to our customers. Across the globe, Haivision solutions power a wide range of video streaming applications for enterprise, education, medical, broadcast, and government organizations. Haivision's growth in EMEA is highlighted by an expanded presence in Germany, home to its European headquarters, sales and technical support team as well as a research and development division. Haivision is also the original developer of SRT that was open sourced in April 2017. This video transport protocol and technology stack optimizes streaming performance across unpredictable networks with secure streams and easy firewall traversal, bringing the best quality live video over the worst networks. The SRT Open Source project, driven by the SRT Alliance, is a collaborative community of industry leaders and developers striving to achieve lower latency internet video transport by continuously improving open-source SRT. As LANG joins the other 117 members of the alliance, the adoption continues to grow enabling more manufacturers and service providers to offer SRT to their customers, improving the video streaming experiences globally, making SRT the de facto standard for low latency, secure, reliable streaming over the internet, a natural alternative to RTMP and proprietary broadcast solutions.
