NAB 2026: Blackmagic Design Announces URSA Cine 12K LF 100G

Blackmagic Design has announced the URSA Cine 12K LF 100G, a new model in the URSA Cine family adding 100G Ethernet for SMPTE 2110 live production output up to 440fps. The camera will be available Q3 from US$8,995 and will be demonstrated at NAB Show 2026 (Booth N2502).

URSA Cine 12K is an incredible camera for digital film, but we really wanted to bring that cinematic quality to live production and the 100G Ethernet model lets us do that in a way nobody has seen before, says Grant Petty, CEO, Blackmagic Design. With 100G Ethernet, customers can get cinematic quality SMPTE-2110 live video at frame rates up to 440fps, and the new Studio Viewfinder and B4 lens mount transform URSA Cine into a true broadcast camera. It's live cine and we think it's going to be a revolution in image quality for broadcast!

Built on the existing URSA Cine 12K LF with its large format 36x24mm RGBW sensor and 16 stops of dynamic range, the 100G model adds a SMPTE 2110 Live mode selectable from the camera menu, outputting real-time SMPTE 2110 IP video supporting up to 2160p60 and up to 440fps for slow-motion replay.

Color Science

Blackmagic Generation 6 Color Science uses a redesigned processing pipeline with 3D LUTs for film, extended video, and video gamuts. The camera includes two 3D LUT processors for different outputs and a dedicated 3D LUT for the SMPTE 2110 output. Preloaded output color spaces include Rec. 709, 2020, and PQ, with support for user-loaded LUTs.

Live Production Features

A built-in color corrector based on DaVinci Resolve's primary color corrector provides iris, black level, and RGB tint control via ATEM Camera Control Panel, or more detailed lift, gamma, and gain control via DaVinci Resolve control panels with trackballs.

An optional B4 lens mount supports broadcast lenses with electronic control, matched to the RGBW sensor, with a center-crop mode for Ultra HD at high frame rates. An optional B4 control cable converts the camera's 7-pin EXT connector to 12-pin Hirose B4 control.

A 7-inch studio viewfinder with touchscreen connects and powers via the viewfinder USB-C port and includes a sunshade with brightness, contrast, and focus peaking controls.
