Net Insight has integrated InSync Technology's FrameFormer into the Nimbra Edge platform. Orchestrated through Nimbra Live Intelligence, the integration adds motion-compensated frame rate and format conversion to live media workflows.
As media workflows become distributed across facilities and network domains, this development allows processing capabilities to be deployed in central hubs or regional environments according to latency and operational requirements. The integration extends the role of the Open Media Platform, allowing advanced media processing to be governed alongside transport and orchestration. Nimbra Live Intelligence provides control and automation, while Nimbra Edge serves as the execution layer.
The technology is designed to adapt live feeds to regional standards, assisting with requirements in fields such as live sports production. It allows for centralised conversion or distributed processing closer to regional affiliates. This approach is intended to simplify handoffs to downstream distribution partners by delivering compliant outputs for local playout and distribution chains.
Nick Quattromini, Head of Channel Management at InSync Technology, said: FrameFormer has long been trusted in premium broadcast environments where motion quality cannot be compromised. By making it available as an integrated service within Net Insight's platform, customers can apply that quality more flexibly across live workflows, while maintaining the operational control needed for global content distribution.
