dB Broadcast Acquires Satcom Portfolio

dB Broadcast has further expanded the range of system integration capabilities offered following the acquisition of S3 Satcom's successful satellite systems business and specialist antenna positioning products portfolio - Satsio and Fiesta. S3 Satcom Limited went into Member's Voluntary Liquidation at the end of March 2022, but the Directors were keen that their products and integration expertise continue to be available to the many broadcasters and teleport operators globally which use them.

S3 Satcom's earth station systems business dovetails neatly with dB Broadcast's existing system integration capabilities, and as part of the acquisition, both David Cope and Peter Ritchie will be joining the team at dB Broadcast bringing with them many years of commercial and technical delivery experience. The existing products will be known as S3 Satsio and S3 Fiesta moving forward, and will sit alongside the existing dB Broadcast product range.

Their company ethos is very similar to the original S3 Satcom business, plus they had excellent complementary knowledge and skills when it comes to delivering projects. The agreement is great news for existing customers as there is a stable route for future deployments and support. It's worked out really very well.

dB Broadcast will be demonstrating their S3 Satsio and S3 Fiesta products at IBC2022 in Amsterdam, between 9th-12 September, on stands in both Hall 1 (1.C37e) and Hall 10 (10.C41).
