Indosat customers to benefit from better quality, faster download speeds, more stable connections and more responsive applications
Network transformation to create more energy-efficient and cost-effective network for Indosat
Agreement covers 2G, 3G and 4G/LTE network technology, implementation services and network performance optimization
Ericsson (NASDAQ:ERIC) and Indosat, a member of Ooredoo Group and one of Indonesias leading telecommunication and information operators, have further strengthened their partnership with a new agreement to deploy 4G/LTE network in Greater Jakarta.
The partnership covers 2G, 3G and 4G/LTE network technology, implementation services and network performance optimization. The solution works seamlessly with the existing 2G and 3G networks already supplied by Ericsson.
The equipment to be supplied is from the Ericsson RBS 6000 base station family that enables energy-efficient and cost-effective operations. The optimization of the networks will further support Indosat to capture the ever-increasing demand of mobile broadband in Indonesia.

With the introduction of 4G/LTE and continuous optimizations of Indosats networks, customers will notice faster speeds - especially how quickly new connections are established, how fast web pages load and how much more responsive applications feel.
Ericsson is today present in all high traffic LTE markets including the US, Japan, and South Korea, and is ranked first for handling the most global LTE traffic - 40 percent of the worlds mobile traffic is carried over Ericsson networks. Ericsson is number one in LTE market share within the worlds top 100 cities. More than 230 LTE RAN and evolved Packet Core networks have been delivered worldwide, of which 170 are live commercially.
