According to the 54-year-old The Mummy actor, it would be hypocritical for him to participate in the event, having publicly accused former HFPA president Phil Berk of groping him back in 2003, as per Daily Mail. Berk denied the allegations, claiming he was just joking.

Cruise control Don't expect three-time Golden Globe-winning actor Tom Cruise to show up either: When the racism and reported corruption scandals tarnished HFPA's image, the superstar actor returned his trophies at the speed of light in 2021.
So, even though Top Gun: Maverick is nominated for Best Picture, Cruise's acting performance was summarily snubbed. Ouch
