(22/03/2014) MOG technologies, the worldwide supplier for both centralized ingest solutions and MXF development tools has today announced a partnership with Vidcheck, a leading provider of unique and advanced software for automated quality control and correction of video and audio in file-based media.
Digital technology is experiencing great changes, but broadcasters cannot lose sight of their ultimate goal: provide the highest quality contents to the viewer. Quality Control processes are becoming increasingly critical for the broadcast industry due to the quantity of different formats sources and destinations, and the continuous evolution of new technologies and systems.
The unique mxfSPEEDRAIL technology plays an important role by bridging the gap across a wide range of platforms, channels and formats, with cross-vendor compatible systems. Now, by adding Vidcheck QC capabilities to work with its full range of automated solutions, mxfSPEEDRAIL will ensure that different formats and quality versions will exactly match the versions required by the end user.
Both systems will perfectly work together to achieve a fully unified environment with all the major production processes covered, from ingest into delivery, while ensuring the confidence on the correctness and quality of the contents.
For the complex and multi-format environments supported by mxfSPEEDRAIL it is important to reduce errors and costs when moving media between servers and editors. Vidcheck software automatically performs quality control on media files and can also automatically correct common video and audio errors including loudness. The software has a straightforward operating interface, representing the perfect fit for mxfSPEEDRAIL technology.

Adding Vidcheck, the operator will remove the need to manually check the content to look for image issues as the system will automatically detect errors, ensuring that the content is checked in its entirety.
