Eventide unveil the H9 Harmonizer Gen 2

Now features full H90 algorithm library

Eventide have announced the upcoming launch of the H9 Harmonizer Gen 2, a new and improved version of their hugely popular multi-effects pedal. Built on the same processing architecture as their H90 Harmonizer, the new arrival combines the company's flagship algorithm library with a compact, performance-ready format designed for modern stage and studio applications.

Building on the concept of the original pedal, the Gen 2 version expands the H9 Max library to the full 74-algorithm collection found in the H90 - Eventide's high-end rackmount studio processor. Staple effects like delays, reverbs and pitch-shifters are joined by more experimental offerings such as granular processors, vocal effects and synth-style manipulation tools, delivering the broadest collection of Eventide effects ever offered in a single-algorithm pedal.

As well as kitting the unit out with new sounds, the company have also made the pedal easier and more intuitive to operate. A larger display offers enhanced visual feedback, with hands-on control provided by a set of three Quick Knobs and button pads; everything can be controlled directly from the pedal itself, with no need to dive into the Eventide Control app, although that is still an option for those wanting to edit their patches remotely. Over 1000 factory presets are included, and the device remains compatible with existing H9 patches.

Eventide have also made some technical improvements, with the new arrival employing a modern ARM-based processor, upgraded converters and flexible routing options. As for connectivity, the H9 Harmonizer Gen 2 features stereo I/O and supports both instrument and line-level signals.
