Real-time stem-separation tool updated
zplane have recently released a new and improved version of their real-time stem-separation plug-in which they say makes it even more responsive and practical across a wide range of everyday uses.
Peel Stems 2 boasts improvements across the board, offering increased speed, audio quality and usability over the previous version. Processing latency has been reduced from 483ms to 245ms when working at 44.1kHz, while the overall quality and clarity of the separated audio has been improved. The company have also redesigned the plug-in's GUI, which now offers clearer visual feedback and faster, more intuitive operation.
What's New? Here's a quick look at what's changed in version 2:
Latency reduced by 49%, from 483ms to 245ms at 44.1kHz*.
Enhanced audio quality means cleaner stem separation with fewer artefacts.
The isolation slider now has a greater effect and a broader range of control.
The Focus EQ Focus Frame now shows the upper and lower cutoff frequencies.
Improved and updated GUI with new stem colours.
*Continued support for Intel Macs (processing latency of 385ms).
