NAB 2026: Audio-Technica Introduces BP350ST-UB and BP350ST-UL Mid-Side Stereo Broadcast Microphones

Audio-Technica has announced two new mid-side (MS) stereo broadcast microphones: the BP350ST-UB and BP350ST-UL, designed for broadcast, production, and field recording.

Both microphones use independent cardioid and figure-of-eight condenser elements in an MS configuration, allowing users to choose between wide stereo, narrow stereo, and discrete mid-side output via a switch on the included AT8547 power module. Both include an 80 Hz high-pass filter switch and a 36cm TA5F to dual-XLR3-M stereo cable for connection to camera XLR inputs or mic preamplifiers with phantom power.

BP350ST-UB

The BP350ST-UB uses the same compact body as Audio-Technica's ATM350a instrument microphone and is compatible with all ATM350a mounts and mounting systems. It includes a low-profile boundary housing with a magnetized back plate and screw-mounting holes, a 5-inch gooseneck, and a clip-on mount with a -inch camera thread. The permanently attached cable is 7.6m (25 feet), terminated with a TA5F connector. The mic is suited for indoor and outdoor fixed recording of sporting events, press conferences, and studio productions. Optional element swaps allow conversion to hypercardioid or line-cardioid polar patterns.

BP350ST-UL

The BP350ST-UL is a compact shotgun microphone with a 16cm (6.3-inch) interference tube for rejecting off-axis noise. It is designed for camera mounting in ENG and run-and-gun applications. The permanently attached cable is 30cm (12 inches), terminated with a TA5F connector. The AT8495 mount clip allows the mic to attach to the power module, which can be mounted in a camera's microphone mount or via third-party mounts.

Both microphones ship with the AT8547 power module, a 36cm TA5F to dual-XLR3-M stereo output cable, foam windscreen, and a protective carrying case.
