Event Production C. HB Live Selects FOR-A HVS-390HS for Live Event Switching posted: 20/11/2015
When Connecticut-based live event production services company HB Live, Inc. found themselves in need of a more robust, scalable solution to switch live events, they turned to FOR-A and invested in the compact HVS-390HS video switcher. Impressed with its price/performance ratio, HB Live has been busy putting the switcher through its paces and creating a richer experience for viewers.
We were looking for a company we could partner with to get the best product and support possible, and we found that in FOR-A, said Donald Guzauckas, General Manager of HB Live. Key factors that we looked at included features, reliability, and cost of the switcher, along with the brand itself and the relationship we could build with them. FOR-A's customer support has been outstanding.
HB Live found features offered by the HVS-390HS video switcher were unique from other units in its class, including its ability to route key layers to AUX busses. This function comes in particularly handy for HB Live engineers when they're working on one of their many multi-screen productions.
Another factor that HB Live looked at when selecting a new video switcher was what equipment their partner companies had. The live event production company often services overlapping projects and needs to rent a second switcher. Several of our partners and freelance operators have access and familiarity with FOR-A switchers, which is very helpful when our schedule is busy, Guzauckas explained.
HB Live is currently using the switcher on a show for a large corporate client and plans to design more of its high-end shows around the HVS-390HS.
