HISPASAT reorders the denomination of its satellites A partir de ahora, todos los sat lites del operador tomar n como base el nombre Hispasat, al que se a adir la informaci n complementaria referida a la posici n orbital en que se encuentra cada uno y su orden de llegada a la misma.
HISPASAT ha decidido poner orden en la nomenclatura de su cada vez m s extensa flota de sat lites.
Por ello, con el fin de establecer una metodolog a l gica que permita automatizar los nombres de los sat lites en el futuro y darles contenido informativo sobre su posici n y antigu edad, se ha adoptado el siguiente sistema: todos los sat lites tomar n como base el nombre Hispasat, al que se a adir la informaci n complementaria referida a la posici n orbital en que se encuentra cada uno y su orden de llegada a la misma. Por tanto, cuando un sat lite cambie de ubicaci n cambiar tambi n de nombre para ajustarse a la nueva posici n orbital en la que se encuentre.
Para establecer las nuevas denominaciones de los sat lites de Hispasat se ha tenido en cuenta los sat lites que ya cumplieron su ciclo de vida til y han sido deorbitados, de modo que los n meros de orden guardar n la correlaci n hist rica de los sat lites de la compa a.
Sat lites Amazonas
Quedar n excluidos de este esquema los sat lites situados en 61 Oeste, que mantendr n el nombre de Amazonas, plenamente consolidado en el mercado y bien conocido por todos los actores del sector. Sin embargo, se ha aprovechado este momento para reducir el nombre de Amazonas 4A a Amazonas 4, dada la reconversi n del proyecto Amazonas 4B en Amazonas 5.
Por ltimo, cuando la capacidad de Hispasat est en un sat lite de otro operador, como ocurre en el caso del Intelsat 34, y con autorizaci n del mismo, se renombrar con este nuevo criterio, indicando adem s entre par ntesis el nombre original del titular del sat lite.
En origen, los sat lites de la posici n 30 Oeste operados por la compa a se denominaban Hispasat, seguidos por el n mero 1 y una letra; con la adquisici n de derechos en la posici n orbital 61 Oeste, los sat lites que se ubicaron en ella formaron la flota Amazonas. En la
actualidad, Hispasat puede prestar servicios, con derechos propios o por acuerdo con otros operadores, en otras cuatro posiciones orbitales (36 , 55,5 , 74 y 84 Oeste).
