Beilun: Leaders Inspects Work of Logistics Firms in Development Zone

On the afternoon of May 5th, Chen Chengkui, deputy director of the management committee of the Development Zone, Zhou Jun, deputy director of District Committee Office, and other government leaders visited the logistics companies in the Development Zone. They investigated and gave guidance to the construction and operation in the Container-truck Service Base and Baifeng New Energy Vehicle Transport Base.

At the beginning, the team of leaders conducted field research in all the functional blocks in the Container-truck Service Base; and then they listened to the report of company principals about their current situation and future direction, after which Chen acknowledged the contribution to Beilun's economic growth made by logistics firms through guiding orderly parking of container-trucks and alleviating urban traffic pressure. He also stimulated enterprises to keep developing the Base into an intelligent, green and modern logistics park in the future, based on the current success in achieving both social and economic benefit.

Chen also deliberated on the obstacles arising in the construction of the Base. He said that next the Base needed to extend its function, regulate management, strengthen service and encourage innovation. Relying on Internet Plus and the International Logistics Park, it can streamline the operation of its container logistics in all segments, develop new trading platforms for container traffic and fill the vacancy in after-sales service, shaping the Base into a weathervane of industrial management.
