This year, the parade takes place on Saturday 4 March, starting as it usually does in de Waterkant district of Green Point.

This is always a loud and colourful occasion where members of the diverse LGBTQI community march to celebrate their Pride.
In line with this year's theme, #KnowYourTruth, the parade is where one can truly be oneself amongst like-minded people.
As Covid restrictions do not apply this year, the organisers are happy to announce that the 2023 Cape Town Pride Parade will once again include floats.

There will be marchers from many of the LGBTQI organisations working in the Mother City, a pipe band, minstrel troupes and many more. Everyone is welcome to join the parade.
The parade kicks off at 12 noon in Alfred St, at the intersection of Prestwich St, in de Waterkant.

The parade tradition As is the tradition, the parade will be led by Mr and Miss Cape Town Pride, followed by the ever-popular bikers from Ride with Pride and an assortment of skateboarders and roller-skaters.
Once the parade reaches Somerset Road, it will stop briefly at the new Rainbow Crossing for the official ribbon cutting and start of the parade.
It will continue along Somerset Road and Main Road through Green Point, turning right into Granger Bay Boulevard, proceeding around the Helen Suzman Boulevard circle, and ending at the Green Point A Track
Participants and spectators are asked to look out for parade marshals wearing yellow t-shirts who will be positioned at various intersections along the route.
For everyone's safety, we urge everybody to follow the marshals' directions, as well as those of the Traffic Police.
Tickets to the Pride Mardi Gras at the Green Point A Track after the Cape Town Pride Parade are available at R50 per person via Quicket.
Pre-purchase of tickets is recommended to avoid congestion at the gates. Tickets will be available at the gate, but please note that only card payments will be accepted.
