Sky acaba de poner en marcha en Reino Unido OnPrime Tv, un nuevo servicio OTT que distribuir canales de diferentes pa ses e idiomas para dispositivos de Apple, aunque pronto estar tambi n disponible para Android TV, TV Box y Roku. La nueva plataforma se basa en la tecnolog a de Cisco y en el know how desarrollado tras la compra de la compa a 1Mainstream a finales del pasado a o.
Aunque actualmente OnPrime TV s lo puede ser recibido en el Reino Unido y Alemania, el objetivo de Sky es extenderlo en los pr ximos meses a otros pa ses de Europa.
El servicio ofrecer seis paquetes de canales: Arabic, South Asian, Russian, Star y News, adem s de 1 1 International focalizado al mercado ruso y que incluir canales como CTC International, Peretz, TV1000 Russian Kino y Channel One Russia. En la actualidad, s lo los paquetes de ruso, rabe y noticias est n disponibles.
