Leader Expands Sales, Support in UK with New Channel Partners

Leader Electronics Europe announced a major expansion of its sales and support representation in Britain with the appointment of Big Pic Media Limited, Boxer Systems Limited, and Thameside as UK channel partners.

The broadcast media marketplace is now so diverse that having channel partners with specific experience of newly emerging sectors is essential, comments Kevin Salvidge, Leader's European Regional Development Manager. Big Pic Media brings a wealth of expertise in the rapidly developing UHDTV/4K marketplace, Boxer Systems has an unrivalled reputation in the file-based production arena, and Thameside is very highly regarded throughout the broadcast and postproduction mainstream.

Having provided products and support to the digital film industry for many years, we are excited to be working with Leader, adds Big Pic Media Director Adam Welsh. Leader is one of the few companies that genuinely understand the requirements of production staff when it comes to monitoring images. Production crews these days do not have the luxury of a dedicated engineer. Creatives have to multitask. Leader products like CINEZONE and the recently introduced CINEZONE HDR are making it possible for film producers to carry across their skills into UHDTV and 4K.

Test and measurement is an area that is generating an increasing level of enquiries especially as broadcasters are migrating towards IP-based solutions, says Boxer CTO Marc Risby. It was great to have Leader on our booth at the London BVE show in February. Leader has an evident understanding of the requirements of broadcasters and productions companies as the industry migrates to higher resolution, wider dynamic range and IP infrastructure.

We are very pleased to be continuing our long-standing relationship with Leader, adds Thameside Sales Manager Chris Margrave-Gregory. It was great to see Leader products on so many stands at the London BVE show in February, including Ikegami, Fujinon and Grass Valley. Living up to its name, Leader produces some of the most innovative waveform monitors and signal analysers currently available, notably the LV5490. Customers also have the option of investing in the LV5480 which combines excellent HD capabilities with the ability to add UHD features when needed.

Big Pic Media is a resource for production, postproduction, broadcast, and media products and services. It can advise and supply solutions from individual items to fully integrated suites. With offices in London and Los Angeles, it offers a global service to the industry, as a supplier and a representative. Big Pic Media now has a new support function which will oversee design and installation services as well as offering engineering support for products supplied by Big Pic Media. This department can design, develop and install facility updates or entire facilities on request.
