Collect and analyse data on customer demographics and preferences, measure the effectiveness of marketing, advertising and communications programs / strategies, Developing processes for reporting revenue performance across other commercial streams.
Prepare reports of findings, illustrating data graphically and translating complex findings into written text.
Measure and assess customer and employee satisfaction.
Seek and provide information to help TV Networks determine their position in the marketplace.
Conduct research on consumer opinions and marketing strategies, collaborating with marketing professionals, statisticians, pollsters, and other professionals.
Attend staff conferences to provide management with information and proposals concerning the promotion, distribution, design, and pricing of company products or services.
Gather data on competitors and analyse their prices, sales, and method of marketing and distribution.
Manage the collation and distribution of the regular summary performance reports.
Answer all questions regarding ratings, forwarding rating data
Monitor industry statistics and follow trends in trade literature.
Reporting
Enhancing existing reporting capabilities for senior management.
Develop and maintain management reporting policies and processes ensure that these are enforced within ad sales so that revenue booked into operational systems is reported correctly.
Maintaining data integrity of reported revenue within the reporting systems.
Requirements
Attention to detail and focus on quality an essential skill (eg - reconciling reports between different data sources, etc).
MS Excel skills to at least an intermediate level (eg - charts, pivots, formulae and modeling).
Other MS Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, Access) skills to an advanced level.
Understanding of key data-warehousing concepts an advantage.

Knowledge of data systems and how to interpret the resultant information (e.g BARB, TGI, Nielson, Omniture etc).
Ability to design and create sustainable commercial reports for senior management is an advantage.

Have excellent academic qualifications, preferably in a numeric or business related subject.
Have previous experience with qualitative and quantitative research.
Display strong analytic and problem solving skills, backed up with excellent communication skills.
Consistency focus on ensuring that their work is produced to the highest possible standards of accuracy and quality
