Magewell -- the respected developer of innovative video interface and IP workflow solutions -- has been honored by online video and AV professionals with a 2022 Streaming Media Readers Choice Award. The companys Ultra Encode family of universal live media encoders was voted as the winner in the Single or Dual-Stream Encoding Hardware category.
Magewells USB Fusion multi-input video capture and mixing device was also recognized in this years Readers Choice Awards as a runner-up in the Meeting/Collaboration/Webcasting Solution (On-Premises) category.
The Readers Choice Awards are held annually by Streaming Media magazine to recognize the best online video solutions as independently judged by end users and readers, rather than by the publications staff. More than 14,000 votes were cast this year across 22 categories spanning the streaming production, distribution, monetization, and analytics ecosystem. Mobile Video Devices (MVD), Magewells exclusive distributor for the Americas, accepted the award on Magewells behalf during the Streaming Media West conference in Huntington Beach, California.
The Ultra Encode family offers video professionals and systems integrators a flexible and affordable encoding solution for applications ranging from live streaming and remote contribution to IP-based production and AV-over-IP. Ultra Encode supports multiple encoding formats -- including H.264, H.265, and NDI |HX -- plus a wide range of streaming protocols including SRT, RTMP, RTMPS, RTSP, and HLS.
Magewell also recently announced a new model, the Ultra Encode AIO, which adds expanded features including HDMI and SDI input connectivity in a single unit; 4K encoding and streaming at 30fps from the HDMI input; simultaneous multi-protocol streaming; higher streaming bitrates; file recording; NDI |HX 3 support, and much more.
