Light Iron Continues to Expand Episodic Division

Light Iron - a leading post production solutions provider and member of the Panavision family of companies - is growing its Episodic Division with the addition of Supervising Colorist Steven Bodner in its New York facility. The expansion follows a recent addition of Supervising Episodic Colorist Jeremy Sawyer in Los Angeles.

Expanding our episodic reach to cover both coasts is a natural progression for Light Iron, says Michael Cioni, the company's President. Episodic clients have responded incredibly well to the end-to-end service platform offered by Panavision and Light Iron, and we want to continue that trend in New York. Steve is the perfect fit to help us achieve that.

Bodner has an extensive track record coloring broadcast content such as Girls, Blue Bloods, Treme, and True Detective. He also colored the Martin Scorsese-produced HBO hit Vinyl, which was supported by Panavision New York. In addition, Bodner has colored numerous feature films during his career, including Beasts of No Nation.

Bodner notes that joining Light Iron was a unique opportunity: I'm enjoying building an episodic department while being at the forefront of UHD and HDR content development, and consulting on color during camera tests at Panavision. Bodner joins colorist Sean Dunckley, who heads up Light Iron's feature color department in New York.

Megan Marquis, Light Iron's VP of Operations in New York, adds that the new Episodic Division is part of an overall strategic expansion to support the growing New York community. We're currently building an additional floor, which enables us to support a larger scale of episodic and feature clients with dailies and archival services, editorial suites, and finishing.
