The Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) and the HPA Awards Committee are excited to announce that submissions for the 2024 HPA Awards are now open. Entries will be accepted until July 26, 2024. The complete rules and details are available at HPAAwards.com.
Celebrating its 19th year, the HPA Awards celebrate creative and technical artistry within the global entertainment community. These prestigious awards honor the individuals and companies at work behind the scenes, including the colorists, editors, visual effects artists, and sound professionals, who are integral to the existence and success of entertainment content. Judged by panels of top tier experts and artists, the HPA Awards highlight the most compelling and beautifully executed work from around the world in a variety of categories.

Outstanding Sound (Design, Editing, Mixing) - Theatrical Feature
Outstanding Sound (Design, Editing, Mixing) - Episode or Non-Theatrical Feature

Outstanding Visual Effects - Live Action Feature
Outstanding Visual Effects - Animated Feature

Outstanding Achievement in Restoration
Eligible work must have debuted domestically and/or internationally between September 5, 2023, and September 3, 2024. Membership in the Hollywood Professional Association is not required for submission, and work from outside of the United States is encouraged.
The HPA Engineering Excellence Award, honoring products and processes representing outstanding technical and creative ingenuity in media, content production, finishing, distribution, and archive, opened for submissions last month and will be accepted until June 14, 2024.
The HPA Awards gala is set for November 7th, returning to the Wolf Theater at the Television Academy in North Hollywood, CA. Ticket sales will open in August. The HPA Awards are made possible through the generous sponsorship of Avid, Blackmagic Design, Dolby and Sohonet.
