African animation series to broadcast in 22 countries --

Jabu s Jungle, an animated children s series developed by Cape Town- based production company Pixcomm in collaboration with Masiphumelele community members, will air in 22 African countries. The series has been bought by Gulli Africa, a French television network, and has secured international distribution with UK-based Monster Entertainment.
The series is made up of 13 22-minute episodes and is the product of a skills development programme facilitated by nongovernmental organisation, The Movement. The initiative partnered qualified animators with township members in an apprentice- style internship project.
Jabu s Jungle tells the story of a young boy who interacts with a talking drum and his environment. The show is aimed at viewers aged four to seven.
