Barco & GCCD join forces for the Norwegian control room market
Kortrijk, Belgium, 30 January 2023 - Barco, a world leader in control room visualization, has partnered up with GCCD (Drammen, Norway). The new partnership underlines the commitment of both Barco and GCCD to continue to support the Norwegian control room market with advanced visualization and collaboration solutions.
GCCD is a provider of complete and customized solutions for the control center market. In addition to control room technology, the company also has a strong focus on audiovisual and furniture solutions. GCCD has decades of experience in the audiovisual industry, ranging from large-scale simulator installations to complex control and monitoring environments used in various applications, including oil rig monitoring and traffic control. Today, the company is using Barco technology for smaller, custom installations, as well as for complex, large-scale projects.
GCCD serves highly demanding customers in critical markets, such as oil and gas, offshore installations, renewable energy, process monitoring, and government, says J rgen Mathiesen, Sales Director at GCCD. Technical support is critical in such markets. The premium service and support we receive from Barco are exactly what we need to meet these high demands.
Barco is very selective in appointing its partners, but it was motivated by GCCD's steady growth over the past few years in terms of turnover and staff. GCCD has included Barco technology in many of its recent control room projects, including the new traffic control center of Norwegian railway traffic operator Bane NOR in Oslo. The company is also an early adopter of Barco innovations and has included many of Barco's latest control room solutions - LED video walls, OpSpace, Barco UniSee, TransForm N - in its stunning customer experience center in Drammen.
GCCD provides total control room solutions, including Barco video walls, networked visualization and LundHalsey control room furniture.
We are convinced this total control room solution will proof to be fruitful in the future and will result in many more successful control room projects in Norway., says J rgen Mathiesen.
