Appear, a global leader in live production technology, is pleased to announce the appointment of Shakunt Malhotra as Vice President for the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. In this role, Shakunt will spearhead Appear's strategic growth across the APAC market, focusing on delivering customised media solutions built around Appear's commitment to customer excellence.
Malhotra joins Appear following a distinguished 18-year tenure at Globecast, where he held multiple senior leadership roles, most recently as Managing Director for Asia. With extensive experience managing and delivering complex projects - including satellite and fibre link deployments, cloud-based playout systems, and large-scale facility expansions Malhotra is ideally equipped to replicate Appear's success in North America and Europe to the APAC region.
Alex Pannell, Chief Commercial Officer of Appear, commented: Shakunt's deep knowlegde of the APAC region, combined with his technical and operational expertise, positions him perfectly to drive our continued growth in the market. In his new role, Malhotra will focus on delivering new customer growth, seamless customer service, technical support, and cutting-edge technology innovation. His experience spans a broad range of industries in the region, allowing Appear to address the unique needs of broadcasters, telecom operators, and sports rights holders, with a particular focus on live events and sports broadcasting. Malhotra will also champion Appear's strong commitment to ESG, helping customers reduce their carbon footprint through power-efficient, space-saving technologies.
