Globo features the fun romantic comedy Burning Hearts in Miami

Globo will introduce the telenovela Burning Hearts' firsthand to the international market at NATPE 2017, in Miami, on January 17-19. In this romantic comedy, a woman who is a true hurricane of emotions is torn between an explosive love and an overwhelming passion, while she unveils the mystery of her father's disappearance. Set in the lively Brazilian city of S o Paulo, a unique cultural melting pot, Burning Hearts' had a daily reach of approximately 40 million viewers, and a total audience accumulation of approximately 183 million viewers while it aired in Brazil.

Burning Hearts' also engaged the public on social medias. During it is exhibition on TV, the plot reached 1.2 million mentions online, 443 trend topics in Brazil and 25 worldwide. Much of it was with hashtags created by the fans of the telenovela that cheered daily for their favorites couples.

In Burning Hearts,' Tancinha (Mariana Ximenes, Passione') is a charming farmers' market vendor. Well-known for her temper, she is torn between an explosive love with the impulsive truck driver Apolo (Malvino Salvador, Trail of Lies'), her childhood neighbor, and an irresistible attraction for Beto (Jo o Baldasserini, Happily Ever After?'), a young ladies' man who does not measure efforts to get all he wants. The girl also finds herself in the middle of a family quarrel because of her father's disappearance, whom she believed to be dead. To unravel this mystery, Tancinha will leave a trail of turmoil in her path.

This lively story is set in the cultural melting pot of S o Paulo: a place of contrasts, where the new coexists with tradition, exaggeration with simplicity, mass production with craftwork, classic with hype, big shopping malls with popular economy. A city that, at the same time, is home to the filthy rich and to those who struggle to survive on a daily basis. This is the case of Tancinha's effusive family, a group of Italian descendants who work hard to make a living at the farmers' market. On the other side is the no less dramatic Abdala clan, owners of the Grand Bazzar empire, and a family who likes to show off.

It's in this vibrant universe that hearts will meet and clash many times, and great loves will be put to the test.

The cast of Burning Hearts' includes Cleo Pires ( India - A Love story'), Tat Werneck ( Trail of Lies'), Agatha Moreira ( Hidden Truths'), Jayme Matarazzo ( Parts of Me'), Alexandre Borges, and Carolina Ferraz ( Brazil Avenue'), among others.

NATPE 2017

Globo will be located in the Tr sor Tower, suite 1912, during Natpe, which will be held from January 17th until 19th. The Brazilian company that produce, distribute and exhibit multigenre content around the world to many platforms, will offer its traditional Screening Breakfast on the morning of the 17th (from 8:00 to 10:00 AM, in the Versailles Tower, at the Glimmer Ballroom), where it will launch its new catalog of unreleased titles.
