Canal will add Apple TV to its set top box offering from 17th May.
It will be distributed directly by Canal Group, at the same price of a regular Canal set-top price ( 6 per month).
Canal says it is leveraging Apple TV's capabilities to bring its myCanal experience to the next level by offering more 4K and HDR content (live and on demand); integrating Siri for quick and easy search in all Canal content; and providing subscribers with an enriched sports experience with Multi-Live features (several simultaneous streams on a single screen) and Expert Mode (live statistics).
We are proud to offer Apple TV 4K and our unique selection of programmes to our millions of subscribers in France, said Frank Cadoret, deputy general manager of Canal France.
The Canal offers reach nearly one in five French households and with myCanal we have all the assets to attract a large number of users. Apple TV represents the perfect setting for our exclusive premium content, especially cinema, sports and our original creations.
