Octopus Newsroom debuts new mobile application and integrates social networking Octopus 8 proporciona a los administradores y usuarios la posibilidad de crear contenido para medios de comunicaci n social incluso desde tabletas y smartphones.
Octopus Newsroom exhibir en NAB 2016 las nuevas capacidades de la versi n 8 de este sistema de newsroom instalado en m s de 200 canales entre los que destacan Root Sports en EE.UU., Mediacorp en Singapur, Al Jazeera English o Euronews.
El CEO de Octopus Newsroom, Petr Stoku , destaca que esta soluci n permite a los usuarios colaborar con otros equipos y entregar historias en m ltiples formatos para la audiencia m s amplia posible. Se agiliza las operaciones y los flujos de trabajo de modo que toda la informaci n de producci n necesaria, incluidas las fuentes de noticias, clips y las historias, est n disponibles para un solo vistazo .
Gabriel Janko, director de ventas, subraya que la presi n sobre los periodistas para cumplir los plazos es enorme y sigue aumentando. Octopus 8 cuenta con una nueva interfaz gr fica de usuario que re ne cada asignaci n, notificaci n y actualizaci n. Hasta ahora, las soluciones para redacciones han tratado los medios sociales como un add-on. Con Octopus 8, Twitter, Facebook e Instagram est n totalmente integrados en la sala de redacci n. Los medios sociales son ahora tratados con la misma importancia como un servicio de noticias tradicional o un resumen del programa .
Octopus 8 proporciona a los administradores y usuarios la posibilidad de crear contenido para medios de comunicaci n social. Los Tweets y mensajes de Facebook son tratados como cualquier otra noticia con jefes de equipo capaz de asignar tareas y compartir, y aprobar los mensajes antes de que entren en vivo. Ahora los periodistas pueden seguir las tendencias de Twitter y realizar un seguimiento de los temas de inter s a trav s de la red social en tiempo real. El proceso de investigaci n se ha automatizado, ofrece a los equipos informaci n instant nea y analiza las tendencias en tiempo real. Los editores pueden acceder a Tweet, reponder, re-tweetear o marcar favoritos directamente desde Octopus.
Octopus 8 interconecta directamente con sistemas CMS como WordPress o Joomla, lo que permite secuencias de comandos y art culos que se cargan din micamente a los portales web. Este nuevo componente Web permite a los editores de noticias de televisi n cargar las p ginas directamente, ahorrando tiempo y reduciendo la carga de trabajo de administradores de la web. Otra nueva caracter stica es la capacidad de publicar mensajes de redes sociales directamente desde la escaleta.

Tambi n har su debut en NAB 2016, la nueva aplicaci n m vil de Octopus que ofrece periodistas capacidades de producci n de noticias en tabletas y tel fonos m viles bajo Apple iOS o Android de Google. Los reporteros y editores que trabajan de forma remota pueden as tener acceso instant neo a todas las escaletas y asignaciones. Tambi n pueden editar historias, acceder a una vista previa, as como crear informes y reportes en campo. La nueva aplicaci n es compatible tanto con Octopus como con las versiones m s recientes de Octopus 7.
