Drake University has partnered with Daktronics to design, manufacture and install a new LED video display for Drake Stadium. The display will be installed and ready to entertain Bulldog fans this spring for outdoor track season and the Drake Relays.
Daktronics has been a tremendous partner through the years in enhancing our in-venue fan and student-athlete experience, said Drake director of athletics Sandy Hatfield Clubb. As the industry leader in LED video displays and audio solutions, Daktronics' expertise and state-of-the-art products guarantee that Drake Stadium remains one of the premier track and field and football venues in the nation.
The large LED video display features a 13HD pixel layout and measures approximately 24 feet high by 38.5 feet wide. The 925-square-foot display features excellent image clarity and contrast with wide angle visibility to ensure a great view from any seat in the house.
The display is capable of variable content zoning which allows it to show a single large image across the entire display or divide the display into zones that can be filled with any combination of live video, instant replays, scoring information, up-to-the-minute statistics, graphics and animations, and sponsor messages.
A Sportsound 2000HD audio system is integrated with the video and scoring system as part of the equipment installation. The system provides full-range sound reproduction and delivers clear and intelligible speech for an overall powerful audio experience for fans.

The integrated system will enhance an already great environment at Drake Stadium. We look forward to seeing this installation inform and entertain Bulldog fans this spring.
In addition to the equipment installation, Drake University will also receive digital content to be produced and delivered by Daktronics Creative Services. This content will consist of any mixture of sponsorship messages, crowd prompts, headshots, game opens and venue announcements at the request of the Bulldogs.
