NHL, Cosm Install C360 10.5K Capture Systems at All 32 Arenas

Multi-angle coverage, on-demand access to ultra-high-resolution video are provided for replays and clips across multiple distribution channels

The NHL and Cosm have installed and integrated C360 capture systems in all 32 NHL arenas as part of a new multi-year deal. The systems provide league-wide access to frame-by-frame ultra-high-resolution footage of every play and player in the league across more than 1,500 games per season.

Cosm's immersive content and production division has installed four of its 10.5K ultra-high-resolution camera systems at glass level in every NHL arena, with cameras behind each net and on each blue line. Footage from each camera feeds into CX Video Hub, Cosm Media's cloud platform, giving the NHL exclusive multi-angle live coverage and on-demand access to ultra-high-resolution captured video for replays and clips supplied across multiple distribution channels.

Cosm Media, which has been working with and testing its technology with the NHL since 2021, installed the systems for the 2025-26 NHL Season.

The footage captured by Cosm Media uses the NHL's puck- and player-tracking data (NHL EDGE), which allows the NHL to isolate, enhance, and deploy the footage to aid its instant-replay review process, player-safety initiatives, official statistics tracking and auditing, digital and social-media content creation, and more. Remote access to every live camera and on-demand content library is available via the CX Video hub. All game action is captured and synced across multiple cameras, covering every inch of the ice, so that no action is missed.
