Innovation Award 2015 f r schulische F rderung
Sauberes Trinkwasser gewinnen, Energiesparh user bauen, Lotuseffekt nutzen, Raumklima berwachen, Schmuckringe mit Gebrauchswert herstellen, mit Geocaching auf Schnitzeljagd gehen oder sich in einem Lernparcours aktiv mit biologischen Fragestellungen besch ftigen - der Themenbogen der Schulprojekte ist weit gespannt. Doch bei allen Unterschieden haben die Projekte eines gemeinsam: Sie alle f rdern Eigeninitiative, Kreativit t und Teamgeist.
Im Rahmen des Wettbewerbs Innovation Award f r Schulen hat die Schaeffler FAG Stiftung diese besonderen Projekte in MINT-F chern (Mathematik, Informatik, Naturwissenschaften und Technik) nun ausgezeichnet. Insgesamt vergab die Stiftung im Rahmen der schulischen F rderung 2015 Preisgelder in H he von 8.000 Euro. Pr miert wurden acht Schulen aus sechs St dten: Ha furt, Kitzingen, M nsterschwarzach, Schweinfurt, Werneck und W rzburg.
Die F rderpreise zur Schulentwicklung wurden auf einer Veranstaltung am 4. M rz 2016 berreicht. Im Anschluss an die Preisverleihung pr sentierten die Sch ler ihre Projekte in einem Markt der Ideen im Schaeffler-Mitarbeitercasino.
Mit der Auszeichnung von acht Schulen unterstreicht die Schaeffler FAG Stiftung wiederum die herausragende Bedeutung der schulischen F rderung und die Qualit t der eingereichten Projekte. Bereits im Vorfeld hatte sich der Stellenwert des Innovation Awards f r Schulen in Mainfranken anhand der zahlreichen Bewerbungen mit innovativen Projekten ablesen lassen.
Die Schaeffler FAG Stiftung versteht sich als Motor f r Wissen, Wissenstransfer und Entwicklung von Potenzialen. Sie ist ein Ausdruck von unternehmerischer und gesellschaftlicher Verantwortung. Die Vergabe von Schulpreisen ist ein wichtiges Instrument in unserem Bem hen, junge Menschen fr hzeitig f r Technik und Naturwissenschaften zu begeistern , sagte Klaus Widmaier, Vorsitzender des Stiftungsvorstands und Leiter Personal Automotive und Industrie bei Schaeffler.
Seit ihrer Gr ndung 1983 f rdert die Schaeffler FAG Stiftung Wissenschaft, Forschung und Lehre auf naturwissenschaftlich-technischem Gebiet. Neben Schulprojekten werden herausragende wissenschaftliche Arbeiten honoriert. Am 19. April 2016 werden die Preise f r Dissertationen, Master- und Studienabschlussarbeiten in der Kugelm hle in Schweinfurt berreicht. Das Preisgeld hierf r summiert sich auf 23.000 Euro. Zus tzlich wird am 31. Mai 2016 der mit 25.000 Euro dotierte Honorary Award am Karlsruher Institut f r Technologie (KIT) in Karlsruhe berreicht. Insgesamt vergibt die Stiftung f r das Jahr 2015 damit Preisgelder in H he von 56.000 Euro.
Die Preistr ger der schulischen F rderung und ihre Projekte
Der erste Preis in H he von 2.000 Euro ging an die Projektgruppe Jugend forscht am Regiomontanus-Gymnasium in Ha furt. In den drei Teilprojekten Sauberes Trinkwasser , Lotuseffekt und Omni-Wheel haben sich drei Gruppen von je f nf naturwissenschaftlich interessierten Sch lern mit Zukunftstechnologien zur Verbesserung der Lebenssituation besch ftigt.
Bei Sauberes Trinkwasser entwickelten die Sch ler eine Apparatur, mit der aus der Feuchtigkeit der Luft Trinkwasser gewonnen wird. Das Ergebnis ist ein seriennahes, kompaktes Produkt zur Sicherung der Wasserversorgung in Regionen, die keinen Zugang zu sauberem Trinkwasser haben.
Bei Lotuseffekt ging es um die Selbstreinigung von Oberfl chen. Der Effekt wird genutzt, um Wassertropfen und Schmutzpartikeln keine Anhaftungsm glichkeiten zu bieten. Dazu wurden zwei Verfahren entwickelt und erfolgreich getestet. Besonders spannend: Das Projekt wird fortgef hrt, wobei mit verschiedenen Materialien weiter experimentiert werden soll.
Bei Omni-Wheel wurde ein Fahrzeug gebaut, das selbstst ndig in jede Richtung fahren und sich auf der Stelle drehen kann, um das platzsparende Rangieren in kleinen Lagerr umen zu erm glichen. Richtung, Geschwindigkeit und Drehung um die eigene Achse werden ber drei Motorgeschwindigkeiten gesteuert.

Der zweite Preis wurde von der Schaeffler FAG Stiftung zweimal vergeben.
1.200 Euro gingen an das Deutschhaus-Gymnasium in W rzburg f r das Projekt Entwicklung und Bau einer Klimabox , die durch die berpr fung und Optimierung des Raumklimas in Klassenzimmern ein besseres Lernen erm glichen soll. Um die Box zu entwickeln und zu bauen, mussten die Sch ler zuerst einmal Grundlagen erarbeiten und sich mit Hardware, Design und Elektronik auseinandersetzen. Die Klimabox hilft Sch lern und Lehrern, kritische und klimatisch bedenkliche Zust nde zu erkennen. Die LED-Anzeige in Form einer Ampelschaltung zeigt an, wann ein Klassenzimmer gel ftet werden muss, um dadurch das effiziente Lernen zu unterst tzen. Neben dem Bau des Prototypen ist der Bau mehrerer Klimaboxen zur t glichen Anwendung geplant, um so die Raumluft an der Schule zu verbessern.

Ebenfalls 1.200 Euro erhielt das Armin-Knab-Gymnasium in Kitzingen f r das Projekt Herr der Ringe . In ihm ging es um die Herstellung von Schmuckringen mit Gebrauchswert. Dabei sollten die Sch ler Einblicke in die Arbeitswelt erhalten und verschiedene Techniken erlernen: Zuschneiden von Kupferrohren, Erstellen von Gussformen aus Keramikmasse, Gie en von Ringen in der Sandtechnik, Schleuderguss in Induktionsformen, Einsatz eines 3-D-Druckers, Bearbeiten des Rohlings, Polieren, Galvanisieren und sonstige Techniken zur Oberfl chenveredelung.
