Xilinx All Programmable Optical Transport Network (OTN) IP Subsystems Honored by 06 Lightwave Innovation Reviews

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX) today announced that its All Programmable Optical Transport Network (OTN) IP Subsystems were recognized by the 2016 Lightwave Innovation Reviews with a score of four out of five possible points for technical excellence. The IP subsystems support 100G and Beyond 100G (B100G) transponder, muxponder, and switching OTN applications. They are pre-constructed by Xilinx with different IP blocks and have gone through extensive system level testing on Xilinxs UltraScale and UltraScale+ families of FPGAs. Designers can modify or simply instantiate these subsystems to fit different needs, realizing an ASIC/ASSP-like design experience with much higher levels of flexibility and differentiation.

The Lightwave Innovation Reviews program, presented annually by Lightwave, distinguishes the top products and solutions available within the optical networking industry as determined by an independent panel of third-party fiber optics experts.
