NAB 2026: IP Innovation, SoftwareBased Media Infrastructure & Dynamic Media Facility Workflows on Display for Lawo

Lawo will announce a new product ahead of NAB Show 2026 in Las Vegas, where it will exhibit at booth C2108. The product is part of its converged media-infrastructure strategy, targeting broadcast, recording, live performance, and corporate AV environments.

Central to Lawo's approach is its HOME platform, which provides device discovery, authentication and orchestration for Lawo's IP ecosystem. HOME now supports role-based access control (RBAC). HOME Apps are containerized microservices that run on COTS servers and can be deployed, scaled and reconfigured as workflow demands change.

At NAB, Lawo will showcase a range of HOME Apps. Among them is HOME Multiviewer, a server-based, low-latency processing app supporting SMPTE ST2110, NDI, SRT and JPEG XS workflows, capable of generating multiviewer layouts with up to 64 picture-in-picture tiles. The app includes a resolution-management system that selects either full-resolution feeds or proxy streams based on PiP size and operational context. The HOME Apps portfolio also includes real-time UDX conversion with HDR processing, graphics insertion, stream transcoding, and tools for color correction, timecode generation, test patterns, tone generation and audio DSP.

Lawo will also present updated software for its mc 36, mc 56 and mc 96 production consoles and crystal on-air mixing systems. The new mc release includes a revised Strip Assign workflow, deeper integration with Waves SuperRack via the ProLink protocol, and EBU R.143-compliant security features. Alongside these, Lawo will show the HOME mc DSP engine, which runs on generic CPU platforms and supports input processing channels, immersive production formats, bussing structures and collaborative mixing functions.

A reference installation Lawo will highlight is the University of Nebraska's HuskerVision deployment, a campus-wide ST2110 system connecting multiple sports venues to centralized production control rooms using Lawo's .edge platform. The system supports 3G and 12G-SDI ingest, native ST 2110 connectivity, and proxy workflows for the HOME Multiviewer app. The venue's 24 24 truck-dock exchange supports HDR, SDR, SDI and ST2110 interchange with national broadcasters.
