The Berlin based software company LiveSkills released TouchDirector 3.0.

New in version 3.0 is the use of macros created with the ATEM desktop software on the iPad. The macros can be triggered immediately with theiPad app. In addition, the user can organize the macros in groups of 10 macros each and assign group names. The macros can also be triggered with a timer at a specific point in time and repeated at adjustable intervals, both not possible with the original Blackmagic Design software.

This update is free for existing users. TouchDirector works with ATEM mixers from 2015 or newer and ATEM software from 8.5 and higher. iPads are compatible with iOS 12 or higher.

TouchDirector is an app for the iPad to operate ATEM mixers. 10 preselectable preview / program buttons, audio display and fader, aux outputs, ATEM integrated media player, macros and streaming settings for ATEM Mini mixer can be operated.

The SuperSources PIPs of the ATEM 2-4 M/E series, which are very popular for virtual conferences, can be operated, saved and recalled in the app. This represents a considerable simplification compared to the cumbersome operation of the SuperSources in the ATEM software. It is not possible to save multi-PIP setups there.

Since the mixers of the ATEM series cannot play video clips, a control for up to 2 Blackmagic Design HyperDecks is integrated. It is possible to select individual clips as well as to create playlists, which are then played back fully automatically with transitions.In addition, a TouchDirector user can provide his cameramen involved in the production worldwide with tally signals and chat via the WorldTally Remote Cloud. For the cameraman there is the free WorldTally client app in the Apple AppStore.

The WorldTally Remote Cloud also enables the remote control of ATEM mixers in essential functions worldwide via cloud service.The price for the TouchDirector full version for all ATEM mixers in the Apple AppStore is 42.99 , the ATEM mini version costs 27.99 .TouchDirector
