Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela reports that SABC 2's telenovela Giyani: Land of Blood sees the introductions of Muvhango actor Lesley Musina and Blood Psalms actress Bokang Phelane.

GIYANI: LAND OF BLOOD' LATEST CAST MEMBERS The talented actors Lesley Musina and Bokang Phela have joined the third season of the Xitsonga telenovela Giyani: Land of Blood. Musina will play the patriarch and successful lawyer Solani Khoza while Phelani will play his ex promo-girl-turned-club-manager wife Pele, reports News24.

The outlet adds that Gigi Ndlovu has also joined the cast as Dzovo, Solani's son.

This season embarks on the show's final odyssey with a world that has expanded and changed - the banana plantation has been replaced by the game lodge, which Manoko continues to pillage while the villagers remain marginalised and living in poverty on the supposed own land, a press statement says.

LESLEY MUSINA: MUVHANGO' EXIT The Giyani: Land of Blood actor and television presenter Lesley Musina who played Ndalamo Mukwevho on Muvhango left the soapie in 2017.

Musina told Drum Magazine that he was surprised by how he left the show because his storyline just ended without warning.

It wasn't pretty, I'll be honest, and it was also sort of like a bombshell. Your storyline is over and I was like What?' But anyway I don't bare any grudges I think it was really time to leave, Lesley opened up on SABC 3 late-night show Trending SA.

Musina, who appeared on the soapie's 25th anniversary in 2022 added he was absolutely appreciative of the opportunity of being on the show.
