Produce Perfect is an intensive skills development program for emerging Western Sydney filmmakers hungry to take the next step in their career as screen producers. Emphasising fresh stories that reflect the cultural diversity and variety of experiences in the region, the program is for storytellers serious about learning the art of the screen business.
Presented by Information and Cultural Exchange (ICE) in partnership with Screen Producers Australia (SPA) the program has been developed to nurture fresh talent. Joining forces for the first time these two major industry players are collaborating tosupport the development of Western Sydney screen content producers, supporting new and distinctive stories for film, TV and online platforms.
We're delighted to join forces with ICE in producing this program for emerging filmmakers in Western Sydney, said Matthew Deaner, CEO Screen Producers Australia. It's important to support the growth of our creative talent and one of the best ways to facilitate this is by ensuring that they have the fundamentals in creating and growing their own screen business.
A one-off learning opportunity, Produce Perfect is also an invaluable experience for filmmakers to garner industry connections with experienced practitioners and experts in the field. The program will be delivered in conjunction with Screen Producers Australia and facilitated by Peter Herbert, SPA's Manager, Business Services and Content. Peter brings a wealth of experience as producer and/or writer of ground-breaking TV content such as Acropolis Now and The Comedy Company. Workshops will also feature other prominent producers and screen content practitioners of contemporary Australian TV, film and online platforms, sharing their knowledge and insights.

As the key industry body for screen producers, SPA is an ideal partner to deliver a professional program delivering skills, networks and experience that will make participants more industry-ready. Screen practitioners from Western Sydney are currently under-represented in our sector and supporting this program is one way we are working to remedy this', said Courtney Gibson, CEO Screen NSW.
The program of six intensive workshops will focus on the A-Z of creative producing for screen, from creating and selling, to financing, marketing and distribution, pitching and business viability, intellectual property and project acquisition. The program is highly selective with a maximum of 10 emerging producers to be accepted to participate free of charge.

Produce Perfect is an industry-standard master class series that will equip a new generation of screen producers covering idea formation to finalised product. Developed in response to calls for increased gender and cultural diversity on our screens and industry requests for new, compelling content, the program is a ripe opportunity for emerging Western Sydney filmmakers with unique stories to tell.
