Net Insight Selected by South African Pay TV Operator MultiChoice for Campus Network Expansion 03 Sep 2014

Net Insight, a leading provider of efficient and scalable transport solutions for media, IP and broadcast networks, today announced that its Nimbra solution has been selected by pay TV operator MultiChoice to expand its existing campus network in South Africa.

MultiChoice will use Net Insight's Nimbra solution to bring its recently established back-up facility into full operation, making it possible for them to serve additional areas and provide business continuity for its primary transmission site in Randburg. The inter-campus network will be fully integrated into MultiChoice's existing Nimbra-based network, enabling the company to connect its pay TV operation centres to provide lossless compression when transporting high-definition television (HDTV) services in real-time. The solution will also address the challenges of back-up, disaster recovery and business continuity, as well as the opportunity to up-scale services in different locations in the future.
