The Young Writers Programme official launch

WindBlow media in association with the National Library of South Africa present to you The Young Writers Programme official launch.

Youre young, raring to go; youre full of hope and promise. Youre also wretchedly full of feeling and navigating new experiences. If fodder for writing comes from experience, then what better time to be a writer than when youre young?

The Young Writers Programme Sessions focus on creative writing and the group will look at all different sorts of genres, they also have the chance to work collaboratively, independently and receive feedback on their writing. Fun, friendly, a chance to learn new skills and be inspired; With industrys own big arsenals.

the young people involved don't have to previous experience of creative writing to join and they can be interested in any genre of writing. Poetry, spoken word, personal narratives/essays, short- stories, and other types of writing or visual art, that paint a picture of what social justice or injustice looks like in our country. We are especially interested in pieces that explore issues related to race, class, gender, sexual orientation, (dis)ability, religion, and other equity concerns. BUT NOT LIMITED TO THEM. And everyone who wishes to be part of the programme regardless of age is welcome.

Venue: The Auditorium @ NLSA, Pretoria

Time: 10:00 - 14:30
