Headrush go to ground with Looperboard

Feature-rich floorboard-format looper incorporates backing track playback, effects and audio interface

The Looperboard, Headrushs follow-up to the Pedalboard and Gigboard.

Headrush have followed up their Pedalboard and Gigboard (reviewed in SOS September 2017 and February 2019 respectively) with the Looperboard, a floorboard-format performance looper, built in a rugged steel chassis and designed for guitarists. Incorporating an internal effects engine, USB interface, backing track player, and a seven-inch touch-sensitive display for quick and easy looping, the Looperboard is controlled by 12 built-in footswitches, allowing users to overdub a maximum of four mono or stereo tracks, using any of the 300 built-in percussion loops as a timing reference if required.

During playback, audio can be reversed, transposed, time stretched and faded in real time; playback can also be matched to a new rhythm if required by tapping out a new tempo, or synchronised to MIDI via the rear-panel five-pin plug. Over eight hours of recording time is built in, and more external storage can be pressed into service if needed via SD slots and USB-A and -B connectors (for external drives).

The audio connections are equally generous, with four phantom equipped combi' XLR/TRS inputs plus a stereo mini-jack input, a pair each of XLR and quarter-inch line/amp-level outputs, and a quarter-inch headphone jack with a dedicated volume control.

Shipping now, the Looperboard retails for £769.99 in the UK$899 in the US.
