Quickest-to-air terminal showcased by DataPa

Having acquired DataPath in 2009, this past July saw Rockwell Collins divest itself of the company.

We're back, smiled Erik Wiberg, director of sales and business development at DataPath, and so is the SWE-DISH brand.

At IBC, the company is showcasing a selection of its range of dishes. The CCT200 Fly-Away System with Communicase Technology is designed to be rugged, easy to transport and easy to deploy. Available in X-, Ku- and Ka-band, the CCT200 features multiple modules, a plug-in modem, an antenna system, a controller and a transceiver all of which, says the company, can easily be replaced and used with current and future SWE-DISH CCT products.

The CCT200 is a two-person carry packaging solution that includes four cases and has a total terminal weight of 125kgs.

The SWE-DISH CCT120 Suitcase System, which weighs only 47.1kgs, is claimed to be the quickest-to-air terminal in the world, with case to contact typically under five minutes - with no tools needed - enabled by the intuitive GUI and fully automatic point-and-shoot antenna control. A slide-in cassette makes the easy-to-switch multiple modem feature possible.

It's been great to see a number of our customers coming back to see us at IBC, said Wiberg. They know we're not the cheapest, but they place value on the design, innovation and quality that the SWE-DISH brand name represents.
