Ningbo Encourages Innovations on Millions of Jobs

10 staff representatives from different trades and senior technician representatives of Ningbo attended a twining ceremony in Ningbo Federation of Labor on 15th, March. This twining ceremony is part of the mobilization meeting of the federation's labor emulation- Achievements in the 13th Five Year Plan . This mobilization meeting is named Thousands of Technicians and their Accomplished Disciples .

As it is learned, trade unions of different levels in Ningbo will promote labor emulations among enterprises and get more employees involved in 2016. The plan is to launch labor emulations in 90% of enterprises above designated size and increase the number of model innovation studios to 1000. Ningbo is expected to foster 100 Dagang Craftsman , 1000 Technical Expert and 10000 Senior Talent in 5 years.

For the next five years, Ningbo Federation of Labor will encourage millions of job innovations, vigorously promote the spirit of model worker, the dedication to work and craftsmanship. The city government will name a batch of municipal model innovation studios every year. Besides that, it will actively forge a complex incorporating four functions namely promotion base for the spirit of model workers, upgrade Base for workers' skills, incubator base for innovation, and growth base for talents to boost enterprises' capability of independent innovation.

Ningbo Federation of Labor will set up Ningbo Center for Workforce Development to provide an effective platform for workers to improve their soft skills. It will provide services such as vocational training, union operation training, continuing education, cultural art creation of workers and engage in the construction of a think tank for technical talents .

Ningbo Federation of Labor will make great efforts to cultivate tight talents for side structural reform and enterprise innovative development. It will select a batch of Dagang Craftsman and Chief Worker from winners of municipal classic event every year.

Ningbo Federation of Labor and Ningbo Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau will commend 100 top teachers selected from the activity Thousands of Technicians and their Accomplished Disciples every year.
