Brainstorm and never.no team up at NAB to deliver VisualMedia, an integrated solution for real-time 3D visualization of social content

NAB 2017, booth SL4616- Brainstorm, a specialist company dedicated to providing industry-leading real-time 3D graphics and virtual set solutions and never.no, pioneers in the Social TV space, are proud to announce VisualMedia, a jointly developed, integrated solution to create visually engaging Social TV content based on social media feeds.

This solution is one of the developments resulting from both companies' partnership as leaders of Project Visualmedia in the Europe 2020 Horizon framework programme. The project is funded by the European Commission, as a response to the needs of creative industries in the broadcast media sector. At the NAB Show, Brainstorm and never.no will showcase an integrated solution to enhance the visual appearance of the data delivered from social media feeds, using real-time 3D rendering of those data-driven graphics to demonstrate a quick and easy way to present social media on TV.

VisualMedia integrates both never.no and Brainstorm technologies, combining the power of Brainstorm's SmartTemplates with never.no's social TV platform STORY to display the content previously gathered and structured from social media. By using this technology, users will be able to gather and moderate content from the web, select an applicable template and preview a graphical visualisation of the content. The real-time 3D graphics can then be easily published to any broadcaster's workflow for direct on air play out. This allows broadcasters to deliver structured social media content to air independently from other graphics applications, with the ability to select which information is to be displayed and decide to show it on the main screen, second screen or mobile applications.

According to Scott Davies, CEO of never.no, The ability to gather and manage complex data and broadcast it in a visually attractive and dynamic format allows broadcasters to create better ways to display alternative content while exploring additional methods to engage with their audiences using second screen and social media data.
