WFX 04: FOR-A to Showcase Switcher, Multi-Viewer, Transmiion Technology

FOR-A will exhibit at this week's WFX Conference & Expo. The event is dedicated to showcasing technology for houses of worship and takes place October 1-2 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas, TX. FOR-A will exhibit a number of its products used in the worship industry, including video switcher and multi viewer technology, in Booth #120.

HVS-XT100 HD/SD portable video switcher

The HVS-XT100 HD/SD portable video switcher is among the products that FOR-A will showcase in its booth. The HVS-XT100 features a compact, integrated design and comes standard with eight HD/SD-SDI inputs and four outputs (plus one HDMI output). The unit offers a wide range of functions, including frame synchronization, multi-viewer capability, a built-in Web server, and a clip memory feature within the still store that supports complex moves. First introduced last year, the switcher is a popular choice among houses of worship due to its high-performance and portability.

Another video switcher that FOR-A will show is its versatile HVS-390HS unit. The cost-effective switcher features advanced AUX technology that allow users to add in up to four additional mix effects, giving the switcher the capabilities of a 6 M/E unit. The HVS-390HS is the switcher of choice for many houses of worship across the country, including use by Manhattan's Trinity Church, Florida's First Baptist Church Oviedo, Flatirons Community Church in Colorado, Alabama's Hunter Street Baptist Church, and Detroit's Kensington Church, to name a few.

FOR-A will also showcase its MV-1620HSA 4K compatible multi viewer. First introduced at NAB earlier this year, the MV-1620HSA 3G/HD/SD/Analog Mixed High-Resolution multi viewer is a 1 RU unit that accepts up to 16 channels of signals for monitoring on up to two screens. The multi viewer includes the option to cascade it with other units to display up to 64 sources simultaneously.

As the exclusive North American dealer for Fujitsu, FOR-A will also demonstrate Fujitsu's IP-920 high-performance encoder/decoder solutions. The video transmission technology uses H.264 advanced MPEG-4 AVC encoding to provide best-in-class video fidelity, is capable of operating at less than 99ms back-to-back latency, and features real-time transmission and robust error correction.
