Anevia IPTV System Chosen for French TV Regulator

Anevia Enterprise, a leader in video streaming and infrastructure for OTT, live television and video on demand, announces that the companys VOD and IPTV solutions have been chosen as the core of a new system integrated into Avistels AviSMART system for the French TV, radio and multimedia regulator, Conseil Sup rieur de lAudiovisuel (CSA).

Anevia products combined with the Avistel AviSMART gives French TV regulation staff the technical capabilities needed to access over 180 television channels via IP from terrestrial, satellite, cable and internet sources on more than 110 devices.

A vital element of this project was the need for reliability and flexibility of the system for our ongoing monitoring activity which often requires adding new channels, comments the CSAs Project Manager, Department of Information Systems, Julien Deschamps. Equally important was the need for an inherently intuitive system which our staff could learn to operate quickly without need for lengthy training. Anevias technology running within the Avistel AVISMART system has enabled both objectives to be achieved with great efficiency. It also means we now have a system which can be expanded easily if we are called on to upscale our activity in the future.

The system was installed by our Now Be One division, adds Avistels Technical Director, Johan Rauscher Anevias Flamingo XL (DVB to IP) and Flamingo 400H (HDMI to IP) gateways plus Toucan video-on-demand software were chosen for their reliability, ease of operation and compactness. Other factors influencing the choice were Flamingos web-friendly control interface and the ability to pool multiple CAM modules on a single input. The inherent efficiency of Anevias VOD and IPTV products enabled us to achieve this in just five days.
