Leading Global Operator to Leverage Resources of International Society of Broadband Experts (ISBE)

SEPT. 8, 2014 (Exton, PA) The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) today announced the expansion of its Corporate Alliance Program (CAP) to the global cable telecommunications market with the addition of Liberty Global (NASDAQ: LBTYA) as a CAP member.

The Liberty Global commitment brings to seven the number of major operators involved in the Corporate Alliance Program. The other six are Cablevision Systems Corp., Charter Communications, Cox Communications, Comcast, Suddenlink and Time Warner Cable. Alpha Technologies and ARRIS Group Inc. are vendor members of the program.

The SCTE Corporate Alliance Program enables operators of all sizes jointly to address industry issues, to develop solutions and prepare for emerging technologies, and to dramatically expand access to training and education available through SCTE and its chapters.

Liberty Global will access educational material and other resources via the International Society of Broadband Experts (ISBE), which has been created to increase the quality and quantity of training and certification available to the worldwide cable community.
