TVNZ Chooses Telestream Vantage to your transcoding platform Su integraci n con Avid y Vizrt ayudar n al, broadcaster australiano a reducir la complejidad del flujo de trabajo y aumentar la eficiencia en las operaciones de noticias y MAM.
Television New Zealand Limited, uno de los broadcasters en abierto m s importantes de Australia, ha integrado la plataforma de procesamiento de medios Vantage de Telestream.
TVNZ ha instalado m ltiples nodos de Vantage Transcode Pro Connect con la opci n Advanced Avid que permite la entrega de archivos y metadatos en Avid Interplay. Adem s, Vantage Array proporciona la administraci n del sistema peer-to-peer con fail-over y el equilibrio de carga consciente de la CPU.
A lo largo del proyecto, Telestream est trabajando estrechamente con el socio de canal regional, Amber Technology, con sede en Auckland.
Greg Montgomery, de GM Technology en TVNZ, comenta que nuestra asociaci n con Telestream nos prepara para ofrecer contenido m s r pido a nuestros espectadores. En TVNZ, contamos con una gama de equipos de transcodificaci n de primera generaci n de varios proveedores que est n al final de su vida til. Necesit bamos instaurar un nuevo entorno de transcodificaci n que pudiera crecer a lo largo de nuestras operaciones. Vantage de Telestream nos ofrece una soluci n rentable y elegante con la mejor arquitectura para el crecimiento futuro y apoya nuestra necesidad de utilizar formatos de 10 bits como AVC-Intra .
La primera aplicaci n de Vantage dentro de las operaciones de difusi n de TVNZ implica sus flujos de trabajo de producci n de noticias. La velocidad es cr tica en nuestro entorno de operaciones de noticias y ah es donde nuestra nueva tecnolog a nos dar una ventaja , a adi Montgomery.
Vantage se utilizar para ingestar contenido de varias fuentes externas, incluyendo el contenido generado en campo recibido como archivos de c maras LiveU, material procedente de smartphones de periodistas enviado con Aspera y fuentes de agencia de Reuters. Los suministros de agencia AP se acomodar n en una integraci n futura. Vantage se utilizar para ingerir y transcodificar este contenido de tiempo cr tico y colocarlo lo m s r pido posible dentro de su sistema de producci n Avid Interplay.
Una ventaja clave para TVNZ es la integraci n entre los flujos de trabajo de Telestream Vantage y Avid. La estrecha integraci n entre Vantage y Avid es importante para nosotros , explic Greg Montgomery. Nos permite reducir la complejidad dentro de nuestro proceso de ingesta aumentando as la eficiencia y ahorrando tiempo en el proceso de producci n de noticias .
Adem s, era importante para TVNZ que Vantage se integrara bien con su sistema de gesti n de activos multimedia (MAM). TVNZ emplea el sistema VizOne MAM y, una vez m s, Telestream ha trabajado estrechamente con Vizrt en la integraci n a nivel API de los sistemas.
Josh McMahon, director de ventas de Asia-Pac fico en Telestream, se ala que TVNZ necesitaba una soluci n de transcodificaci n de gran alcance, a prueba de futuroy de escala empresarial y esto es lo que Vantage ofrece.
