Globos miniseries Happily Ever After? arrives in Portugal for the first time

Fans in Portugal can get ready to watch one more Globo's hit show. After premiering The Hunter' and Merciless,' now it is time for Globo (basic) channel, exclusive from NOS carrier, to air Happily Ever After?'. With general direction by the acclaimed Fernando Meirelles (from the feature films City of God and The Constant Gardener ), in an atmosphere full of drama and sensuality, the miniseries tells the story of a couple in crisis who, to save their relationship, becomes involved with a mysterious call girl: Danny Bond (Paolla Oliveira, Trail of Lies'). Happily Ever After?', one of Globo's flagship shows for the LA Screenings, is scheduled to premiere on May 23 in Portugal.

In Brazil, the miniseries, which combines seduction, politics, and betrayal, caused an uproar and drew a lot of attention. The show aired in January 2015 in the 11 p.m. time slot, which is traditionally reserved for the launch of Globo's major miniseries, and won over more than 17 million viewers (source: Ibope).

In the plot, Mar lia (Maria Fernanda C ndido, Tropical Paradise') and Cl udio (Enrique D az, Precious Pearl') are the image of a perfect couple: they are rich, beautiful, and happy. However, when Danny Bond enters the picture, a crime of passion changes everyone's lives.

The backdrop of the miniseries, which has hints of modernity and sophistication, is the city of Bras lia, and that helps build the intense atmosphere of the plot, full of relationship drama and power games. Starring big names such as Adriana Esteves ( Brazil Avenue') and C ssia Kis ( The Party'), the story also features the actress Paolla Oliveira playing a sexy mysterious character for the first time.

The electrifying intrigue and the story full of desire and sex scenes with the beautiful actress Paolla Oliveira made a splash. On the internet, seven terms related to Happily Ever After?' hit the Trending Topics list in Brazil, among which are #felizesparasempre (its original title in Portuguese), #ripdannybond (in reference to the actress's character) and #obrigadoadrianaesteves (a reference to actress Adriana Esteves, who played Carminha in Brazil Avenue').

During the 2016 LA Screenings Globo will be in suite 616.
