Topic asks whether social media business practices combined with pending legislation could make copyright something that's difficult to prove

The free live panel discussion will address the perfect storm of copyright-free chaos, whereby social media business practices meet pending global legislation to make it difficult for legal copyright holders to prove ownership over their materials.

Guests will be Michael Steidl, Managing Director for the International Press Telecommunications Council (IPTC); Jeff Sedlik, President and CEO for the PLUS Coalition; and David Riecks, longtime advocate of metadata standards and practices, and owner of PhotoMetadata.org.

The Copyright Killings will be a live discussion between panelists rather than a structured presentation, making the format a first for the Swiss DAM software vendor.
