Joshua s first world title defence on Sky Sports Box Office

Sky Sports Box Office will show Anthony Joshuas first defence of his IBF World Heavyweight title against unbeaten American Dominic Breazeale at The O2 in London on 25 June.

Anthony Joshua MBE returns to The O2 for the first time since his resounding second-round win over Charles Martin to claim the IBF heavyweight world title in April. The Olympic gold medallist turned professional just two and a half years ago making him the fifth quickest world heavyweight champion.

Challenger Dominic Breazeale, from Anaheim CA, heads to The O2 undefeated in 17 fights. Like Joshua, Breazeale made his name in the amateur ranks and was the number one rated U.S. amateur boxer in the super heavyweight division.

The undercard includes what could be one of the biggest domestic clashes of 2016 as George Groves takes on Martin Murray. The pair will fight in a WBA Super-Middleweight Title Eliminator and defeat for either man will severely damage their chance of another shot at the big time.

For his first defence, AJ, who is rising in stature now, has come straight back in with another: Dominic Breazeale is another huge unbeaten former Olympian who has blown away 15 of his 17 foes and will be hoping to regain the title for America. With a stellar cast on the undercard it promises to be sizzling summer night of boxing down at The O2."

Anthony Joshua MBE said: I can't tell you how excited I am to fight again, especially at The O2 which I have made my fortress. My coaches have watched Breazeale for a long time and they knew he was going to be a player in the division and now we get the chance to go war on June 25. I'm looking forward to being part of a stacked night of boxing and defending my title in style.

Preview and analysis from the O2 will be provided by former world champions Johnny Nelson, Carl Froch and Jim Watt, as well as a range of other boxing experts. Sky Sports viewers can also look forward to an extensive schedule of support programming across its channels and digital outlets including Ringside and The Gloves Are Off.

It promises to be another great night of boxing on Sky Sports, as part of the partnership with Matchroom Sport which offers up to 120 nights of live boxing over the next six years.
