Scheduling Specialist : Movies Johannesburg

Ensure creative and innovative scheduling across the movie channels, Ensure maximum exposure of all premium movie content, Assess the genre and grading of movie content, Keep abreast of global broadcasting trends regarding scheduling

Ensure 1st draft schedules are completed with TVR predictions well before schedule deadlines with minimal rework

Develop scheduling strategies based on TVR data and customer feedback

Review scheduling across RoA is compliant, yet creative and appropriate for the market

Responsible for all content played out across the specified movie channels (i.e. fillers, EPG detail, ads & promos etc.)

Ensure all PC ratings are adhered to

All relevant information is updated onto Synergy and available at all times

ANALYSIS

Predict TVRs for all movies on the movie channels

Assess previous month's performances once research data is available and summarise lessons learnt

Communicate variances of TVR performances (predictions vs actuals) to the head of content planning and scheduling and ensure that corrective measures for poor performances are contextualized and corrected if need be

Identifying marketing opportunities for specified channels

Ensure channel TVR targets are met

Assist in all ad-hoc projects

SYSTEM & PROCESS IMPLEMENTATION

Assist in the development and implementation of system and process workflows to ensure all scheduling requirements are met within the required timelines

Assist in the development of an auto-scheduling and inventory utilization module

ADMINISTRATION

Ensuring the runs utilization is maximized and feedback is given to the head of movie administration and the inventory manager with regards to runs utilization

Schedules are input in Synergy before deadline with minimal re-work and programme changes

Execute programme changes and inform other divisions timeously of all changes

Summarise monthly prime time schedule and top 5 movies

Education & Experience

A relevant graduate degree is essential

Prior media experience will be an advantage

Strong knowledge of and a passion for movies is essential

Knowledge and experience in Synergy will be an advantage

Computer literacy (PowerPoint, Excel etc.) is essential
