Sencore Announces Product Preview for Broadcast Asia Show 2013 - Stand 4D1-05

Online PR News - 05-June-2013 -Sencore, along with Village Island announced they will exhibit at the Broadcast Asia exhibition this summer. The event is Asia's foremost conference for digital broadcasting and entertainment technology professionals. The four-day event will focus on New Content Experience, Next-Gen Innovation and Technology in TV, Multi-Platform Content, OTT, File-Based Workflow, Pay-TV, Adoption of DVB-T2, Broadcast Infrastructure and Transmission Quality. Sencore will feature new technology including their latest in system wide monitoring and advanced modular receiving/decoding.

Modular system monitoring - VideoBRIDGE: VB120, VB262, VB220, VB252

The VideoBRIDGE probes are designed for continuous digital TV monitoring with system scalability in terms of monitoring capacity, signal formats, and functionality - ensuring a future-proof solution. The VB120 gives content providers the ability to measure IP and ASI media services continuously for reliable, around-the-clock confidence monitoring. Coupled with the VB262 blade, an input option that offers monitoring of QAM signals as found in cable networks, or the VB252, which offers DVB-T/T2 signal monitoring, the system provides a complete IP, RF and ASI monitoring solution in one.

Sencore's VideoBRIDGE line is the only solution that monitors TS Multi-PLP, T2-MI and DVB-T2 UHF/VHF in one unit. Requiring no expensive baseband signal, the unit monitors and analyzes all streams at the TS/RF level and features an alarm that will trigger SNMP traps to a network management system. The system provides universal access since the probes can be accessed at the system and individual level virtually from anywhere through the web server control.

Sencore will also demonstrate the latest in their receiver decoder line of products:

Distribution Receiver/Decoder MRD 4400

Sencores new MRD 4400 is a cost-effective SD decoder capable of being upgraded to HD via a software license. It supports decoding of H.264 and MPEG-2 video to broadcast-quality outputs via SDI and composite interfaces. With up to four audio services, distributors can meet upcoming descriptive video requirements while still supporting surround or alternate language services. Multiple input options such as satellite, ASI, and IP ensure the 4400 will easily interface into any monitoring and/or operational video distribution application. The system also allows operators to demodulate, de-encapsulate, encapsulate, and decode simultaneously for local processing and re-encode requirements.

Contribution Receiver/Decoder MRD 5800

Sencores new MRD 5800 advanced modular receiver/decoder supports todays highest quality video feeds and provides H.264, MPEG-2, 4:2:2, 4:2:0, 10-bit, and 8-bit decoding with effortless automatic detection and configuration. Field-upgradable software licensing enables a pay-as-you-grow approach to better video quality, and with full HD decoding and output up to and including 1080p60 and 3G SDI outputs, the operator can be confident that the system is truly future-proof. The MRD 5800 offers up to eight PIDs of audio decoding to deal with the multichannel, multilingual environment of live-event coverage. The system is ideal for many types of contribution environments, including large-venue OB productions, satellite trucks, and fixed-point contribution, as well as high-end distribution in which tools such as 4:2:2 chroma sampling are in use. The MRD 5800 provides ASI, satellite, RF, and IP input options, and supports full use of SMPTE 2022 (CoP3) forward-error correction.
